On Friday April 13th and Saturday April 14th the Kehillat community came together with the Gendler family to celebrate Keang’s bat mitzvah! On Friday night, Keang lead us in services, guiding us with her enthusiastic and thoughtful presence. Rabbi Jack Shlachter officiated Saturday morning services, followed by dancing, delicious food, and lots of fun. It was a weekend of colorful celebration and music!
We had lively Shabbat services this week with the musical stylings of the Plafker-Lipsons and Ben Kalman!
This Shabbat, Kehillat held a panel discussion featuring Ted Plafker, Scott Kronick, and Les Ross speaking on the state of US-China relations. Over the last several weeks, we’ve also had David Harris, the CEO fo the AJC give a brief talk on his work in China and Asia, and a presentation and discussion on mental health awareness organized by Rachel Levine of the Moishe House and Xiaojie of CandleX. Look out for more community discussion ahead!
