Kehillat Beijing

Founded in 1979, the Kehillat Beijing Foundation supports Jewish life in Beijing, around China, and across the world. We host Shabbat services and dinner each and every Friday night beginning at 7:00pm, in addition to a range of holiday celebrations, educational opportunities, and community retreats and excursions into one of the world's greatest cities.

2013 Year In Review

What an amazing year at Kehillat Beijing. Our community was blessed this year to have three visiting clergy–Rabbi Dario Feguin, Cantor Yvon Shore, and Rabbi Dan Horwitz (twice!). We also held an amazing retreat by the Great Wall in Huairou, two bat mitzvot, and celebrated the High Holidays in a festive musical style with our new (and somewhat critically acclaimed) Kehillat Beijing Ensemble.

We also re-launched our website, performed in a dazzling Purim Spiel, had record enrollment at our Jewish community school, Tov!, and provided more than 400 subsidized Shabbat meals to students and others of limited means. All of this in addition to our regular Shabbat services, which continue to be the cornerstone of our Jewish community here in Beijing. As ever with Kehillat Beijing, we welcome Jews and non-Jews of all denominations and persuasions.

At the end of 2013, we hope you will consider making a financial donation to help support our ongoing efforts to support Jewish life in Beijing.
