Julia is a native of Cleveland, Ohio, where she was actively involved in her synagogue, youth movement and Jewish community. After completing her undergraduate degree at the University of Chicago, she spent a year studying at the Pardes Institute of Jewish Studies in Jerusalem where she participated in the Experiential Educators Program. She is pursuing her Masters in Jewish Education with a focus on Organizational Leadership through an online program of the Jewish Theological Seminary of America. Julia has held a variety of roles in Jewish Education and Jewish communal service. She has been serving as the Community Coordinator of Kehilat Shanghai since August 2019.
