Jews have a special relationship to home. The Torah’s central story tells of our return to Israel. Jewish families take care to create a Jewish home. For generations, our homes have been in disparate lands. As expat Jews, we have an even more unique relationship to home. The more time we spend abroad, the more questions arise: How can I feel so at home in a strange land? Will my home country feel like home if I move back? What does home even mean to me - geographically, psychologically, and spiritually? Sharing his personal struggles finding home, Jamie will lead a discussion on these essential life questions. In classic Jewish fashion, he promises no answers, but believes we all each leave the conversation feeling a little more at home with ourselves.
